Preparation 1: Get study supplies ready
It may sound simple, but having all the necessary personal items and study supplies is a crucial step.
- Make sure your child has all the essential textbooks, writing tools, rulers, and other basic items.
- With today’s diverse and rich curricula, parents need to thoroughly understand the school’s requirements to prepare any additional necessary materials.
- If the school requires uniforms, ensure they are prepared properly and take accurate measurements of your child to register with the school.
Careful preparation will give your child more confidence on their first day of school.
Preparation 2: Develop interpersonal skills
Equipping your child with interpersonal skills is very important as they will encounter many new situations in the school environment.
- Teach your child how to handle difficult situations through small, relatable, and easy-to-understand stories.
